SAT Registration & Preparation

The test registrations (including costs) as well as test preparations (3 or 10 individual hours) with a specialist are included in the ALL AMERICAN and ELITE packages.

The SAT is a standardized test that is used as an admission criterion by many colleges and universities around the world. It evaluates the academic skills of applicants and helps to make decisions about the amount of a scholarship. This guide explains to you step by step everything you need to know about creating your account, registering for the test, preparing, the test day itself, and sending the results.

1. Create a SAT Account

To register for an SAT date, you need a CollegeBoard account. The registration process only takes a few minutes:

  1. Open the CollegeBoard website: Go to collegeboard.org and click on Create an Account.

  2. Select "Create a Student Account": Enter your personal data such as first name, last name, email address, and date of birth.

  3. Confirm your email address: You will receive a confirmation code by email. Enter this code to verify your email.

  4. Set a secure password: Choose a secure password and a security question for account recovery.

  5. Fill out the necessary personal information: Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.

  6. Adapt umlauts and special characters: If your name contains umlauts (Γ€ β†’ ae, ΓΆ β†’ oe, ΓΌ β†’ ue), replace them, as the American system does not support them. The ß must also be entered as ss.

  7. Select your school: If your school is outside the USA, select "Outside the U.S." and check the box for "My high school is not listed".

  8. Confirm the terms of use and complete the registration.

Note:

Please share your login details with us after creating the account so that we can assist you with the registration and manage your results (depending on the contract). Your data will be treated confidentially and not passed on.

2. Book an SAT Appointment

Once your account is created, you can book a test date:

  1. Log into your CollegeBoard account.

  2. Click on "Register for the SAT" and then on "Register Now".

  3. Confirm your password if necessary.

  4. Review the pre-filled personal data.

  5. Select your high school: Choose "Outside the United States" and, if your school is not listed, "My high school is not listed".

  6. Fill out the questions about your education and confirm with "Confirm".

  7. Student Search Service: Select "No thanks" for the "Student Search Service" and "I do not wish to respond" for optional questions.

  8. Select test date and test center: Search for a test center and a suitable test date.

  9. Upload a suitable photo: Make sure the photo clearly shows your face, as it will later be compared to your ID.

  10. Select your test device (digital SAT only): If you are taking a digital test, select the device you want to use (laptop or tablet with external keyboard).

Note:

Avoid additional offers such as the "Answer Service" and check all data before payment. Changes after registration are subject to a fee.

3. SAT Preparation

Thorough preparation is crucial for a successful SAT result, which often determines which colleges you will be admitted to and whether you can receive an academic scholarship. Here are some tips and recommended tools:

  1. Use Bluebook, the official SAT app: Bluebook gives you the ability to access the original SAT test questions and prepare directly on your computer for the exams.

  2. Free preparation with Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers customized learning plans and interactive exercises that specifically address your individual weaknesses and strengths. Connect your CollegeBoard account with Khan Academy to analyze your previous SAT results and optimize your preparation.

  3. Practice tests and resources from the CollegeBoard: The official SAT Study Guide and online available tests are also an excellent way to get to know the format and types of questions.

Note:

Check your contract with us. Depending on the service package, preparation courses or additional support from us may already be included. Contact us directly to find out which services are included in your package.
